FRESH Developments Have Emerged In The Case Surrounding The Alleged Abduction Of Former Tanzanian Ambassador To Cuba, Humphrey Polepole, After His Legal Team Requested The High Court’s Dar Es Salaam Sub-Registry To Admit Oral Testimony From His Sister, Christina Polepole.
The Request Was Made Earlier Today, October 15, 2025, By Advocate Peter Kibatala, Who Is Leading The Legal Team Representing Polepole. The Matter Came Up For Hearing Under Case Number 24514/2025 Before Presiding Judge Salma Maghimbi.
The Case, Which Was Filed Under A Certificate Of Urgency On October 7, 2025, Names The Inspector General Of Police (IGP) And Several Other Top Law Enforcement Officials As Respondents. Additional Respondents Include The Director Of Public Prosecutions (DPP), The Attorney General (AG), The Head Of Criminal Investigations For The Dar Es Salaam Special Zone (ZCO), And The Dar Es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander (ZPC).
During The Hearing, Advocate Kibatala, Alongside Lawyers Faraji Mangula And Gloria Ulomi, Informed The Court That They Had Received New, Potentially Critical Information Earlier In The Day From Christina Polepole, Which They Believe Should Be Heard And Considered By The Court.
"The Information We Received This Morning From Christina, The Sister Of The Applicant, Is Significant And Relevant To This Case," Kibatala Stated Before The Judge, Requesting The Court’s Permission To Present Her Oral Testimony.
